An angry man from Zimbabwe is currently languishing in police detention after he was arrested for allegedly stabbing his wife's secret lover almost to a point of death after he caught the pair red handed having s*x.
According to MyZimbabwe, the man, Mandla Ndlovu, 36, from Tsholotsho county, allegedly caught Elliot Zondo, 43, himself a married man, having s*x with his wife, Sipho Ncube, 21, on his matrimonial bed and attacked the intruder with a hammer, and a metal rod before frenziedly slashing his back with a knife, leaving him for dead.
After the brutal attack, Ndlovu, drenched in Zondo’s blood, allegedly surrendered himself at Tsholotsho Police Station, still holding a bloodied knife, telling the police he had butchered and killed someone he found having s*x with his wife.
A police officer said no one believed him when he came to the station to report he had attacked and almost killed another man, with many thinking he was mentally deranged.
“Some of us explained the blood by saying he was mentally deranged and had slaughtered a goat but we were taken aback when we saw a group of people carrying Zondo, who they thought was dead, to the station. He was rushed to Tsholotsho District Hospital where he was transfered to Mpilo Central Hospital in Bulawayo, due to the serious nature of his injuries."
The cheating wife, Ncube, admitted in front of her in-laws that Zondo was her lover but disputed that her husband caught them having s*x.
“Zondo knocked at our bedroom and my husband opened the door and attacked him. When I shouted for help, my husband’s brothers came to our homestead. I’m not sure what transpired but Zondo was left in a bad state.
"Zondo and I met on a bus when when we were returning from visiting. We fell in love at once and we’ve been seeing each other at my home, daily since then.”
She said Ndlovu had told her he was not coming home for Christmas but he suddenly arrived on Monday and she could not warn Zondo that her husband was in town.
