These photos of a frog's 'private' part were shared on Facebook by Keith Leech, a truck driver from Australia, which caused much humour among social media users.
But the “p*nis” is actually believed to be an “extra partially formed leg” as frogs don’t have a p*nis, according to animal scientists.
Speaking with BuzzzFeed News, Gerry Marantelli from the Australian Amphibian Research Centre said: “It’s not a p*nis, frogs don’t have them.
"But penises did evolve from ‘legs’ during embryonic development so an extra leg is part way there
“Amphibians in one way likely invented the p*nis.”
