Senator Dino Melaye Accused of Threatening to Beat up a Colleague at the Plenary

Dino Melaye

SaharaReporters has alleged that Dino Melaye flouted the code of conduct and ethics of the Nigeria Senate as he threatened to beat up his colleague at the Senate during a heated deliberation on national issues.

Reports have it that Senator James Manager drew attention to the wrong perception of the lawmaking body before the general public owing to the the exotic car purchase saga, the 2016 national budget saga, amendment of the Code of Conduct Bureau Act, rumoured grazing bill and the invitation of the Code of Conduct Tribunal chairman, Danladi Umar which was seen as a move to deter him from trying the senate president, Bukola Saraki over a 13-count charge of false delcaration of assets.

Melaye reportedly found Manager's view hard to chew and reacted unethically.

Senator Sani Yerima also joined Melaye to further threaten other People's Democratic Party senators that opposed them.

This allegation made on the Twitter page of online news platform is yet to be authoritatively confirmed by Tori news.
