With Chris Rock, Oscars Is Nearly 'Revolutionary'

Oscars 2016 red carpet Kerry WashingtonRock, 'Revenant' lead Oscar chatter
"I wasn't invited". And after I managed to catch my breath from that he addressed sexism on the red carpet - specifically the "Who/what are you wearing?" question that seems to only be aimed at women. "If George Clooney showed up in a lime green tuxedo with a swan coming out of his ass, everyone would go, 'Whatcha wearing, George?'" Rock noted. People are like 'Chris, you should boycott, Chris you should quit.

The awards show tried to toe a tricky line - celebrating the night's overwhelmingly white nominees, while also calling itself and the Hollywood at-large out for yet another year of snubbing filmmakers and actors of color. I was like, 'isn't she on a TV show?' Jada's gonna boycott the Oscars?
"But things are changing", he remarked. Okay, maybe I fibbed just a
tad. Braxton explains, "Some viewers also noted how Rock did not include minorities other than African Americans in hisdiversity comments". They're going to have the Oscars anyway. A world that we collectively felt in 2015 as the hottest year in recorded history.
Obviously there's a lot to respect about this move, despite the fact that the cookies he grabbed appear to be Shortbreads (the broccoli of Girl Scout cookies) even though Chris Rock had a box of Thin Mints in the very same hand. "You'd be watching Neil Patrick Harris right now".
But he was favourite to finally take home the best actor Academy Award this year for his gruelling portrayal of a fur trapper left for dead in an icy wilderness after being mauled by a bear.
Adam McKay, director of The Big Short, kicked things off when he collected the prize for best adapted screenplaywarning against voting for a presidential candidate that takes money from the oil companies.
"Climate change is real", he began.
Speaking of government, US Vice-President Joe Biden attended - the first to do so since 1931 - to highlight the issue of rape culture, and to introduce Lady Gaga's performance of the Oscar-nominated "Til it Happens to You", from campus rape documentary The Hunting Ground.
She laughed: "Where are you getting these movies from?"
"It sure sounds like he's taking a shot at a Democrat and not just any Democrat, Hillary", Doocy said a bit too gleefully. But I realized, they're going to have the Oscars anyway.
And so it continued as Rock, who admitted he had completely re-written his monologue in the wake of the diversitycontroversy, performed a autopsy on the elephant in the room.
